At Gpi Schwarte, we are committed to sustainable and responsible business practices within a highly regulated industry. This means we carefully consider our choice of materials, energy consumption, and production processes – while continuously investing in a safe and healthy working environment. In doing so, we create sustainable value for both our customers and society.
Sustainable choise of materials
Gpi deliberately chooses stainless steel for its durability, hygienic properties, and long service life. Grades such as stainless steel 304, 316L, and duplex (often used for larger storage volumes) provide excellent corrosion resistance and are ideally suited for intensive, long-term use in critical processes. This extends product lifespan, reduces replacement frequency, and lowers the overall environmental impact across the entire life cycle. On request, we manufacture tanks using stainless steel with up to 95% recycled content, such as Outokumpu Circle Green® – a responsible choice without compromising on quality or compliance.
Sustainable fleet
We are making our mobility more sustainable by electrifying our fleet with hybrid and fully electric vehicles. This reduces our CO₂ footprint and contributes to a cleaner future.
Social engagement
We support local communities through initiatives such as our collaboration with JINC, where we help young people explore career opportunities. With programs like Baas van Morgen and practical workshops, we promote equal opportunities. In addition, we encourage sports and team spirit by participating in events such as running and volleyball competitions.
Development within the company
For Gpi, sustainable entrepreneurship also means investing in people. We provide opportunities for education, training, internships, and company visits. In this way, we support the professional development of our employees as well as future professionals.
